Sterling Silver Dichroic Glass

Dichroic Glass dates back to at least the 4th century A.D. It can be seen in the Lycurgus cup, a Roman glass beaker in the British Museum. This glass is made by using multiple ultra-thin layers of different metals (gold, silver), metal oxides (titanium, chromium, aluminum, zirconium, magnesium) and silica, giving the glass dichrooic optical properties. Then each piece is vaporized by an electron beam in a vacuum chamber. The vapor condenses on the surface of the glass in the form of a crystal structure. This scientific process results in gorgeous jewelry with unbelievable shine and reflections of vibrant colors in the glass. No two pieces of this handcrafted jewelry are ever exactly alike, making each piece uniquely your own.
